2023 AUSTRALIAN SPORTS FOUNDATION ACTIVE KIDS GRANT

Our Active Kids Grants are available for volunteer-run community clubs and organisations with members aged 20 or younger.

Grants will be awarded in the form of free sports equipment and on-field or training uniforms, to be supplied by ASF partners HART Sport and ISC.

Grant round opens: 9am (AEST) Monday 11 September 2023
Grant round closes 5pm (AEST) Friday 29 September 2023

The Active Kids grant program is generously funded by The Dickinson Foundation in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF). The Dickinson Foundation has donated the funding to improve the physical and mental health of Australian children by encouraging them to participate in sport.

You will need an ASF Member Number for your application. Refer to the Grant Toolkit for more information on sign up and locating your member number for existing members.

What grants are available in the 2023 Active Kids grant round?

Active Kids grants are for free sports equipment and on-field or training uniform, to be supplied by ASF partners HART Sport and ISC.

The 2023 Active Kids Grant opens 9am (AEST) Monday 11 September 2023 and closes 5pm (AEST) Friday 29 September 2023.

When does the Active Kids grant open and close?

Is there a cut off age for the beneficiaries of this grant?

Yes, Active Kids grants can only be used to benefit Australians aged 20 or younger.

There is no maximum grant value for this grant round. However, because there is a limited pool of funds available and the objective is to help as many clubs in need as possible, applicants are encouraged to only apply for what you need.

As a guide, the average grant value awarded in the last two Active Kids grant rounds was between $3,500 and $4,500.

Please note that if you are applying for a uniform grant, orders must be for a minimum value of $5,000 GST inclusive.

What grant value can I apply for?

Can I apply for a cash grant?

No cash grants are available in the 2023 Active Kids grant round.

Do I need to be registered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to apply?

Yes. If your organisation has not previously signed up with ASF, you will need to do so here before applying for this grant.
